1. Artwork & Graphic Design

Product prices on our website exclude artwork and graphic design unless a design option is selected when ordering. Customers supplying finished artwork should provide a print-ready file that meets the requirements below.

If you are unsure whether your artwork is suitable, please email it to info@creoprint.co.uk for checking before ordering. We can also help with minor alterations, resizing and preparing files for print. Artwork charges may apply depending on the work required, and any alterations may extend the production time.

CreoPrint also provides graphic design services, including layouts, marketing materials, logo design and brand development. We will ask you to supply a clear brief, the required wording and any existing logos, photographs or brand assets. More involved projects may require a conversation with our designer before work begins.

Production times begin once the artwork is complete and the final proof has been approved. Please check all wording, contact details, spelling, dimensions and layout carefully. CreoPrint cannot accept responsibility for errors that remain in artwork approved by the customer.

    Supplying Print-Ready Artwork

For accurate production, please supply artwork that meets the following requirements:

    • PDF format is preferred
    • Set the artwork to the correct finished size
    • Include 3 mm bleed on every edge unless we specify otherwise
    • Keep important text and logos safely inside the trim edge
    • Supply each design as a separate file or clearly labelled page
    • Include the finished dimensions and a description in the filename
    • Use CMYK colour where possible
    • Embed all images and linked graphics
    • Embed fonts or convert them to outlines
    • Remove guides, templates, notes and other non-printing elements
    • Check that photographs and graphics have sufficient resolution at their final printed size

Crop marks are not normally required unless we specifically request them.

    Other File Formats

We may be able to accept other file formats, but they can require conversion, checking or adjustment before printing. This may result in an artwork charge or a longer turnaround time.

If you are uncertain about your files, please contact us before placing your order.

  2. Common Reasons Artwork May Be Rejected

Artwork may need to be corrected or resupplied if it:

    • Does not include the required 3 mm bleed
    • Is supplied at the wrong finished size or aspect ratio
    • Contains several designs imposed together on one page
    • Has missing or unembedded images
    • Uses missing or unsupported fonts
    • Contains low-resolution images or graphics
    • Includes visible templates, guides or non-printing instructions
    • Is password-protected or cannot be edited or processed
    • Contains transparency, overprint or colour settings that may produce an unexpected result
    • Does not match the product or dimensions ordered

Crop marks are not normally required unless we specifically request them.

If we identify a clear technical problem, we will contact you and explain what needs to be corrected. Where practical, we may be able to make minor adjustments for an additional artwork charge.

    Customer Approval and Responsibility

Customers are responsible for checking the content of supplied artwork and approving any proofs. This includes:

    • Spelling, grammar and punctuation
    • Names, telephone numbers, email addresses and other contact details
    • Dates, prices and product information
    • Image quality and resolution
    • Colours and transparency effects
    • Missing fonts, graphics or images
    • The position and size of important content

Colours displayed on a monitor can differ from printed colours. RGB artwork will normally be converted for CMYK printing, which may change the appearance of bright or highly saturated colours.

If your artwork size differs from the size ordered, the ordered size will take precedence only where the artwork can be scaled proportionally without altering its layout. If the proportions do not match, we may need corrected artwork or your approval to crop or adjust the design.

Although we try to identify obvious technical concerns, our artwork check is not a full proofreading or design service unless this has been specifically ordered. CreoPrint cannot accept responsibility for errors that remain in customer-supplied or customer-approved artwork.

If the supplied file cannot produce the product ordered, we will contact you before production to discuss the available options.
